County’s Futures Conference

The event will be held at The Bank House on Sunday, 22nd October 2017 and will start at 2pm. It is open to all adult members and members who are 14+.  Refreshments and food will be provided. It is anticipated to finish formally at 5pm.

The conference will provide three presentations and two collaborative discussions. Also, a chance for you to network with other Scouters.

  1. The Vision in UK Scouting for 2018+ and your Input 
  • We will provide information and the ideas from Team UK, The Trustees of the Association and Summit 17 and collate the views of attendees to feed back into Gilwell as part of a collaborative process for the future
  1. A presentation The future of Kinver Campsite 
  • The status of our County Campsite currently situated out of our County. Options available to us in terms of its operations and use.
  1. Scouting in Hereford and Worcester and discussion 
    • Over the years in the county there have been several changes. Currently, there are several demographic, population and service changes and shifts which do not reflect the current set-up in the county. Several suggestions and future strategy will be explained. Providing members, a say. This includes changing District boundaries and forming new Districts.
