Hereford and Worcester Scout County have a number of funds available to support Scouting in the County. The County Executive Committee are continuing to roll forwards the various support funding schemes that are in operation and to top them up as appropriate.
The available funds are: International Fund, Skills Development Fund, Promoting Scouting Fund, Equipment Fund, Loan Fund, County Events Fund and the Irene Warner Fund to support Scouting in rural Herefordshire.
If you are thinking of applying for one of these funds, please first talk through your request with your District Commissioner (or for County, a member of the County Team) to make sure that you have a valid application and then make sure that it is submitted well in advance (typically about a month) before a County Executive meeting (dates on website).
In addition, The Scout Association have a number of funds available to develop Scouting under what is known as the Development Grants Board (DGB). A summary presentation of what they offer is available to down load below (PowerPoint or PDF handouts) or you can find out more by going to link: http://members.scouts.org.uk/grants
