There is no need for Scout Groups to take out insurance for public liability or trustee indemnity insurance. You're already covered under The Scout Association's policies.
The Scout Association’s rules state that every Scout Group must maintain adequate insurance cover, (POR: Chapter 8 : Insurance.) if your Scout Group is covered under our annual Scout Property and Equipment Insurance policy, you will be able to get short period cover for events and equipment free of charge (subject to Scout Property and Equipment Small Event Insurance Endorsement terms, clauses, conditions, exclusions and warranties).
