Strategy & Evolution 2017

Are you and your Scouts & Explorers looking for a new challenge this summer? Well we have it in the form of Strategy and Evolution! Two weekend challenge events occurring the end of June/Start of July at Cirencester Park in Gloucestershire.

So what is Strategy & Evolution?

Both are weekend long events, run by scouts and guides for scouts and guides, in which Saturday holds a challenge. Strategy is for Scouts and Guides aged 10 to 14, and Evolution is for Explorers and Network (age 14+). On Friday and Saturday nights we have and entertainment tent where we have a disco and live entertainment. We also have a fayre and sports competitions on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

On both weekends we have a tuck-shop and cafe selling sweets, drinks, chips and burgers. As well as an adult only leaders retreat where you can relax in the evenings.

What are the challenges?

For Strategy we have approximately 30 bases spread around our giant site in which your scouts will be in teams (min. 3 per team) and complete the bases. Some are simple and quick some are hard, and some are just purely for fun! For each base your team will earn points and whichever team has the most points at the end wins!

Evolution literally evolves, every year we run a different challenge. one year you may have a route to follow, the next there may be no route! But we always ensure the course is fun, challenging and uses a mix of scouting and non-scouting skills.

What are the dates?

Strategy is on the 23rd-25th of June and Evolution 30th June - 2nd July.

What's the cost?

Each weekend costs £45 for participants and £30 for leaders.

What does the cost include?

This includes all activity costs and meals for the weekend.
